Out of the four classical elements: earth, water, air, fire water is acting more decisively in the daily lives of Africans. Their absence or excess, its necessity as ancestral bearer of life and death, are at the origin of almost all conflicts and at the center of everyday life.Water in Africa, as in any other continent, is an object of veneration, hunting and survival.
