Mystery - Air Crash Investigation - Falling From The Sky (British Airways Flight 9)

On 24 June 1982, British Airways Flight 9 experienced St. Elmos fire, en route to Perth, Australia. A few minutes later all four engines flamed out. After descending, the crew successfully restarted the engines and landed safely. The St. Elmos fire and engine flame out was caused by volcanic ash.Type of aircraft: Boeing 747-200B.Cause of disaster: Failure of all engines in volcanic ash cloud.
